Terms of Service

The rules for using Windscreen Supermarket. Last updated 15 July 2026.

1. About Windscreen Supermarket

Windscreen Supermarket ("we", "us", "the platform") is a comparison marketplace that connects vehicle owners with independent, verified windscreen and vehicle-glass technicians ("technicians") across the United Kingdom. We are not a glass fitter: work is quoted for and carried out by independent technicians under their own business terms.

2. Using the platform

By submitting a quote request you confirm the vehicle and contact details you provide are accurate, and that you are authorised to request work on the vehicle. You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.

We may send you transactional messages (quote updates, booking confirmations, appointment reminders) by email, SMS, or push notification relating to requests you make.

3. Quotes and bookings

Quotes are provided by technicians based on the information you supply. If the vehicle or damage differs materially from your description (for example a different glass variant, additional damage, or ADAS calibration needs), the price may be revised before or at the appointment.

A booking is formed between you and the technician when you accept a quote. Appointment times, fitting location, and workmanship are the technician’s responsibility.

4. Payments

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). Where payment is collected through the platform, funds may be held and released to the technician when the job is confirmed complete. Any deposits, cancellation charges, or refunds are described at the point of booking.

5. Cancellations

You can cancel or reschedule a booking through your account. Late cancellations (after a technician has been dispatched or glass specially ordered) may incur a reasonable charge, which will be made clear before you confirm the booking.

6. Guarantees and liability

Workmanship and materials are guaranteed by the fitting technician under their stated warranty. We verify technicians at onboarding (identity, insurance, reviews) but do not supervise individual jobs and are not a party to the fitting contract.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

7. Reviews and content

Reviews you submit must be honest and relate to a genuine booking. We may moderate or remove content that is unlawful, offensive, or misleading.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies to new quote requests from its publication date.
